Choosing The Best Toys For Babies From The Start
You baby loves to explore their new world. In looking for the best toys for babies it is overwhelming as you have so many choices. You can go overboard and buy the latest thing but if your child does not play with it you have wasted your money. The types of toys babies seem to enjoy the most are the ones they can use their senses in different ways.
The most basic design is attractive to a baby. They are also drawn to basic colors so a toy does not have to be very elaborate to be entertaining. A black and wihite pattern is extremely engaging to a child and will keep their attention, especially when it makes noises.
The more a baby can grasp while they discover their senses the better. They love to feel different fabrics, squeeze things and put things in their mouths. Discovering sounds is like magic to a baby and when they learn they can control the sounds its awesome.
A baby safe mirror are also fun for little ones as they like to look and see the other baby in the mirror. You can attach them to a playpen or crib easily and many times come in other toys as well. A mirror with music is very entertaining to a baby.
For up to twelve months babies like these discovery toys that make noise and are fun to look at and grab. The colors that you choose are best if you stay with basic green, blue and yellow or orange. The green is popular and easy on the eyes but the black and white seems to hold their attention the longest.
A baby likes to discover their toys and pick them up themselves so you will want to make sure that the toy is light. They also prefer a soft texture or some vinyls as they put things in their mouth to discover them. Babies like toys that squeak and make a krinkle sound as well.
Never rely on the labels of a child’s toy. Yes there are standards mandated for regulation but it does not take the place of you as the parent checking for any hazards. Make sure there is nothing that can come off the toy such as a button or simular shaps sewn on. As babies love to put things in their mouths this can become a choking hazard and you need to be cautious.
Your baby can learn cognitive skills while enjoying exciting toys. The best toys for babies are the ones that they actually play with and by finding these types of toys you can ensure that. Always check any toy no matter what the label says for all safety hazards to enjoy stress free enjoyment of their new toys.

My son has been using this playmat since he was 2 months old. He is now 7 months and still reaches for it daily. He has learned to flip it over so he can reach the higher toys. I have yet to replace the batteries and everything still works great. The music plays for quite a while so you don’thave to keep running over to restart it. My son also loves the crinkle leaf and zebra tail on the mat itself. Since he has been rollling over, he can now chew on them and it is one more thing to keep him occupied! I highly recommend this line of products!

My little guy has loved this gym since he was 8 weeks old. At that age, he couldn’t really interact with it, but loved looking at the lights and the butterflies, which I had to manipulate manually. Now that he’s almost five months old, he enjoys hitting and kicking the elephant rattle and swatting the parrot toy! His favorite parts have got to be the removable toucan and monkey–they go with him everywhere! And they’re so easy to wash (and they air dry beautifully) after he’s chewed on them. The mat washes nicely as well.
The rainforest sounds are gentle and soothing and have lulled him to sleep when he finished playing. There are parts of this play gym that he has not noticed yet such as the crinkle leaf and the cubs tail (both attached to the mat) and the toys can be placed in different areas so that play is always different and interesting, so I expect him to continue enjoying this play gym for a long time.

My three month old loves this gym. She isn’t very good at entertaining herself yet, but she kicks and plays happily in this gym. The toys are easy to move around and keep her attention so mom can get a thing or two done around the house!
The music is much less annoying than many other toys & the nature sounds actually sound pretty nice. It also is great for tummy time. This product could replace a tummy time mat, a bouncer seat & many other toys.
I’d recommend spending the extra money to get this over a less expensive gym.

This is such a fun gym. It kept my son entertained for quite some time even before he could roll over. It is well made and well designed. It took very little time to put together and the batteries are easy to replace. The music is similar to that on the Rainforest high chair and so are the characters. You can lie the baby diagonally on the mat so that his feet can kick or push the side pole and activate the music and lights. It also has a setting where the music and lights run without stopping for around 20 mins, and it is not horrendously irritating. There are two volume settings too. Each of the toys is a different activity and have kept my son busy for ages. Now he is spending more time on his front they detach from the gym and attach to the floor mat. A very good value for money product.
